Klimt in France

A visit to France in 2014, and travelling throughout the southern part of the country, inspired this poem – an ode to Gustav Klimt, who inspires me

When the sea breeze blows

When the mist rolls in

When the red wine flows

Forget me not

Where the church bells ring

Where the violets bloom

Where the minstrels sing

Forget me not

As the stone walls glow

As the images flash

As the quiet tears flow

Remember me
